korea trip - day 2

asalamualaikum wbt.

korea trip - day 2!

i woke up quite early that day. i totally forgot to check the waktu solat for south korea because i'm confident enough that because it's spring, so the time would be quite the same with malaysia. turns out that the sun rise around 5 am. i woke up at 6.00 am and it was already like 8 in malaysia T__T

i am excited to start our real journey that day. we planned to go to English Village located at Yangpyeong county in Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. Tujuan utama datang tempat ni sebab azmilia nak sangat tengok lee min ho tu (walaupun dalam gambar, lol!). ok, this place is actually the place where BOF filming their drama. i think this girl punya post explains everything. untuk aku yang tak tengok BOF ni haruslah macam kisah tak kisah je kan. but the visit was worth it because the view is super nice!

so our journey started quite late actually. makan sarapan dulu kat rooftop. memang sejuk pagi tu. from the rooftop, kami usha-usha tampat yang kami jalan semalam, maklumlah sampai malam, so tak nampak jalan sangat. but bila tengok dari atas baru faham and tahu jalan shortcut nak ke guesthouse sebab malam sebelum tu kami ikut jalan jauh..

and it was a long journey! entah masa tu pulak mungkin masa tu hari sabtu, so banyak sangat ahjumma and ahjussi pergi hiking. they look fit and healthy! i was so impressed because they are so independent. the train was quite pack. kadang-kadang je ada tempat duduk sebab kat sini, the priority is to the elders. so kebanyakan masa kami berdiri dan bagi ahjussi and ahjumma ni duduk. and there was one time keretapi berpatah balik so kami kena turun the next station and ambil balik train yang sama sebab nak menuju ke destinasi.

tip of the day; there are priority seats inside the train. do follow. those seats are for the elders, women with children, pregnant women, and orang kurang upaya. infact kalau tempat lain penuh pun, kita yang tak ada kena mengena ni tak boleh duduk situ. people will stare at you. but the people are so nice. once, aku tengah berdiri agak lama, sorang ahjussi tu bangun sebab dah sampai di station yang dituju, dia terus tarik aku suruh duduk tempat dia. aku macam segan so tak nak duduk, ahjumma kat sebelah tu panggil panggil suruh duduk. so aku pon duduklah. padahal destinasi aku tak jauh pun lagi. orang korea ni suka buat aku rasa nak nangis terharu tau. wuwuwuuu...

Gyeonggi English Village Yangpyeong Camp

because we were from Euljiro-sam(3)-ga, we took the train towards wangsimni, change train tu jungang line and stop at the last station in yongmun.

made a stop at Guri station.

impress with the train station

and arrived and yongmun station.

there's a seven eleven nearby, so we stopped and eat. sorang ahjussi ni berkenan sungguh kat azmilia sebab dia pandai cakap korea sikit-sikit. but it sounds a little bit funny sebab ahjussi ni pun cakap 1-2 words of english. i wish i could record them communicating with each other lol! tapi sebab lapar sangat memang sibuk makanlah. ahjussi tu kemudian belanja azmilia aiskrim. sweet gila tau ahjussi ni!

had problems communicating with the taxi driver because people over there don't seem to know the place. most people come here to hike. azmilia siap cakap lee min ho berlakon kat sini! hoi, aku tak rasa ahjumma and ahjussi ni kenal lee min ho okay, lol! but after some time, azmilia managed to tell the taxi driver where the place is. it is actually;

Gyeonggi English Village Yangpyeong Camp

maybe sebab ahjussi tu rasa serba salah kot sebab tak tahu nama tempat ni walaupun penat explain, we got free ride to go there! ahjussi tu sikit punya baik, dia cari orang kat situ untuk bawakkan kami ni jalan-jalan di persekitaran. at that time, no guard around, cuma ada satu couple ni tengah dating kat situ. the girl said there's supposed to have tour guide or something around, tapi mereka cuti atau pergi makan, not sure. but thankfully the girl can speak decent english. she told us that she can call the cab to pick us up at the camp.gamsahamnida! u are the best!

so of we go jalan-jalan around this english camp!

greeted by dandelions

actually it is an international school! universiti i pun tak macam ni tau.. huhuuu

few spots to have good picture.

monticello global leadership center

and yes, if you know this place, you must have watch the series

and i have no idea who is this song woo bin, lol!

i love the scenery and the view! and bilik ni yang kat atas ni kira markas untuk BOF. as far as i know boys over flower was a television series, both japan and taiwan also did their own version. i watched only the japanese version (hana yori dango) which i love so much, which i watched it over and over again. so at least aku tau lah jalan cerita dia camana kan.

lepas puas jalan jalan, the korean girl called the cab, and we headed back to yangpyeong station. the ride cost us 5,300 krw per taxi. naik train melalui jungang line, tukar ke wangsimni, dan naik line 2 untuk balik ke euljiro-sam(3)-ga.

tips of the day: it is very very important to find hotels/guesthouse near subways. tempat kami ni hanya 3 minit perjalanan ke subways. so kebanyakan masa kami akan gunakan subways untuk pergi ke mana-mana, dan lebih murah!

myeongdong

malam tu, kami berpakat nak pergi serang myeongdong. we studied the subway map, sebab nak selamat tak nak sesat lagi, walaupun david kata myeongdong tu dekat je. so we took line 2 from euljiro-sam(3)-ga, tukar train di Dongdaemun, dan naik line 4 ke Myeongdong dan keluar ikut exit 7 tak salah aku. keluar-keluar je dah boleh nampak UNIQLO dan nature republic besar gila, terus rasa teruja! best woi myeongdong ni!

dah lah kat tepi-tepi tu ada banyak kedai kosmetik. tengah tengah jalan pun ada kedai-kedai kecik. memang shopping heaven! hari tu, memang hajat kami nak beli barang-barang kiriman kawan-kawan. the best thing is that, when u buy cosmetics products, you will get free gift from them! best betuilah woi! azmilia cakap kena kena beli sikit-sikit sebab boleh datang hari hari dan hari hari dapat free gift! tapi depends lah jugak sebab hari tu aku beli banyak, dapat free gift yang lebih best. so depends. beli sikit free gift sikit, beli banyak free gifts banyak. hehe.

bergambar bersama promoter etude house. walaupun barang beli barang orang, hati tetap gembira.

baju anjing pun jual tau!

sementara yang perempuan bershopping sempat lagi para lelaki pergi jalan jalan beli makanan pelik-pelik. this is jipangyi ice cream. bersepah jual kat serata tempat. made of cornflour and filled with ice cream.

they sell freshly squeeze orange juice! memang 100% orange. harga standard kat sini 3,000 krw.

myeongdong market ni memang sepanjang-panjang jalan, dan ada cabang kiri kanan yang jual macam-macam benda seperti baju and cosmetics of course. ada banyak cafes and restaurants. kalau rajin boleh telusuri satu persatu lorong-lorong ni. kami dah puas jalan masa siang tadi, and memang niat nak beli barang kiriman kawan-kawan jadi kami jalan sekejap saja di myeongdong sebab memang niat nak datang lagi untuk shopping barang sendiri juga. little that i know i came here almost every day kot!

so we walked along the road, sampai hujung jalan, we found a building that look familiar to us. rupa-rupanya malam sebelum tu kami ada lintas bangunan tu untuk ke market yang tak diketahui namanya tu. T_T memang betul kata david. myeongdong tu dekat je dengan guesthouse kami. so kami decide untuk balik jalan kaki instead of taking subways. masa balik tu, saje-saje nak jalan kat chonggyecheon stream lagi. dah lah sejuk. macam beest je sambil dengar-dengar bunyi sungai mengalir. :)

duduk kejap sambil rehatkan kaki, punggung dan tangan (tangan sebab penat bawak barang banyak hee)

so that's all for day 2. day 3, itaewon dan bukchon hanok village.

next post will be korea trip - day 3.
